Captcha Earning App: What 1,000 Captchas Actually Pay

A man works late at a laptop, the grind a captcha earning app asks for

A captcha earning app pays what the captcha services themselves publish, and 2Captcha’s own worker page quotes $0.14 to $0.6 per 1,000 normal captchas. At roughly Rs 95 to the dollar that is about Rs 13 to Rs 57 for an hour of flat out typing. The daily payment screenshots are not the rate.

What does a captcha earning app actually pay per 1,000 captchas?

The useful thing about this corner of the internet is that the services publish their worker rates in the open, so nobody has to guess. Here is what four of them said on 11 September 2026, converted at Rs 95 to the dollar.

ServicePublished worker ratePer hour at 1,000 captchasWhere it says so
2Captcha, normal captchas$0.14 to $0.6 per 1,000Rs 13 to Rs 572Captcha worker page
2Captcha, reCAPTCHA v2 through their software$1 per 1,000, fixedRs 952Captcha worker page
Anti-CaptchaNo per 1,000 rate published. States an average worker earns about $100 a monthAbout Rs 9,500 a monthAnti-Captcha workers page
KolotibabloNo rate on the public page. Says funds can be withdrawn at about $0.5Not statedKolotibablo

Two of the four do not publish a per 1,000 rate at all, which is itself worth knowing before you start counting on one. Anti-Captcha is unusually frank about the rest of it. Its workers page says an average worker earns about $100 a month, which it calls “a good salary in developing countries”. The countries it names are Bangladesh, Pakistan and Venezuela. India is not on the list.

Captcha se kitna kama sakte hain in a real hour?

Here is the arithmetic with every input on the table, so you can disagree with a specific number rather than with a vibe.

Input one, speed. One thousand captchas an hour. That is the figure the listicles use, and it means one captcha every 3.6 seconds with no pause, no missed character and no gap in the work queue. Input two, rate. 2Captcha’s published band above. Input three, conversion. Rs 95 per dollar.

ScenarioPer hourPer eight hour dayPer 26 day month
Normal captchas, bottom of the bandRs 13Rs 104Rs 2,704
Normal captchas, top of the bandRs 57Rs 456Rs 11,856
reCAPTCHA v2 at the fixed rateRs 95Rs 760Rs 19,760

That last row is the ceiling, not the expectation, and it assumes reCAPTCHA v2 work is sitting there waiting for eight unbroken hours a day. No service promises that, and Anti-Captcha’s own $100 a month figure suggests the real world lands nowhere near it.

Run it the other way. To clear Rs 1,000 in a day at the best published rate of Rs 95 per 1,000, you need 10,526 captchas. At one every 3.6 seconds that is ten and a half hours of typing without standing up. The sum has no hidden trick in it. It is just a small number multiplied by a large one.

Rs 13 to Rs 57 an hour is the published band, converted.

Why do the “Rs 500 daily” pages get it so wrong?

Search this topic and you will be told, repeatedly, that captcha work pays Rs 70 to Rs 150 per 1,000 and that 1,000 captchas takes one to two hours. Convert that first number. Rs 70 to Rs 150 is $0.74 to $1.58 per 1,000 at today’s rate. The top of that claim sits above 2Captcha’s fixed reCAPTCHA rate and well above the whole of its normal band.

So the figure those pages print is not merely optimistic. It is higher than what the platform itself says it pays, which is an awkward position to defend. They then promise Rs 500 to Rs 1,000 a day, which the table above shows would need the best rate, perfect speed and a working day that does not exist.

How does the money even reach an Indian bank account?

This is the part almost nobody covers, and it matters more than the rate. These are the payout methods 2Captcha lists on its own worker page, with the minimum and the fee it states.

Payout methodMinimumFeeWhat it means from India
WebMoney WMZ$0.50bonus plus 10%Not a mainstream Indian rail. Cashing out is the hard part
AirTM$1.000%A dollar wallet, not an Indian bank transfer
Bitcoin Cash$0.250%A virtual digital asset once it reaches India
USDT TRC20$100.000%About 100,000 captchas at the best rate before you can withdraw once
USDT BEP20$2.000%A virtual digital asset
TON$1.200%A virtual digital asset

There is no UPI on that list. No NEFT, no IMPS, no Indian bank transfer of any kind. Four of the six options are crypto, and that changes what happens when the money lands.

The Income Tax Department treats crypto as a virtual digital asset. Income from transferring one is taxed at a flat 30 per cent plus surcharge and cess, with no deduction other than cost of acquisition and no set off of losses, and section 194S applies 1 per cent TDS on the transfer. Money earned for services is separately ordinary income at your slab rate. Exactly where the line falls when the payment itself arrives as USDT is not something we could find spelled out in a departmental note, so treat this as the point where a chartered accountant earns their fee rather than as a settled answer. General information only, not advice on your position.

If you are already filing around online income, our note on what happens when online earnings stay under Rs 2.5 lakh covers the ordinary side of this, and Section 44ADA covers the shortcut most online workers can use for service income.

What do people who have actually done this report?

We read 20 individual worker reviews on 2Captcha’s Trustpilot page dated 8 July to 2 September 2026, along with complaints filed on Indian consumer forums and one police case. Every account below is what an individual reports, not a measurement of what the platform pays.

Indian reviewers mostly report being paid. One reviewer in India on 12 August 2026 says payment arrived on time after the work. Another, on 1 August 2026, calls the work slow and hard and says the payout is nonetheless real. A third, on 26 July 2026, says they have worked there for years without a delayed payment. A fourth, on 8 July 2026, describes payouts as quick.

The negative accounts are about access and volume, not outright non payment. A reviewer in the United States on 18 July 2026 reports being unable to add a payment method and no support to fix it, and a reviewer in Belgium on 9 July 2026 describes the same problem. A reviewer in Nepal on 22 July 2026 reports captchas going unpaid. Trustpilot’s own page carries a notice that reviews of this company were affected by guideline violations and that fake ones were removed, so a wall of five star ratings on any captcha service is not evidence by itself. The page showed 2,677 reviews on 11 September 2026.

Here is where the accounts land against the official guidance, and it is the unusual part. They broadly agree with it. Not one worker we read reports the Rs 500 a day the listicles promise. The argument is not about whether these services pay, but about whether what they pay is worth the hours.

A phone showing WhatsApp, where most captcha entry job offers in India arrive
The fee demanding offers almost always arrive by message.

Which captcha job is the outright scam, and how does it work?

Now a completely different animal, and the confusion between the two is why this topic is such a mess. The international services pay very little. The Indian captcha entry job companies take money from you. Same words, opposite direction of cash flow.

The sequence is consistent enough to write down. A WhatsApp message or cold call offers captcha typing work from home. A registration fee or security deposit is collected, usually described as refundable. A digital agreement arrives by email carrying an accuracy target of 90 per cent or higher. The portal then turns out to be slow, broken or short of work. Finally a letter arrives from an advocate demanding money for breach of contract.

This is documented, not inferred. In February 2024 the Cyberabad cyber crime police arrested four men running the scheme under the name Flora Solutions, reaching people by WhatsApp message about captcha typing work, Deccan Chronicle reported. One victim paid Rs 6,17,660 out of fear of the fake legal notices. The unit linked 358 complaints to the operation, 28 of them in Telangana.

The pattern is older than that case. A complaint filed on an Indian consumer forum records a call on 18 July 2019 offering Rs 22,500 for ten days of captcha work at 90 per cent accuracy, no work materials ever supplied, and then on 30 July 2019 an email from an advocate demanding Rs 5,000. Seven years apart, same script. The tell has not changed either: fee maangne wala kaam, kaam nahi hai. A real employer does not invoice you for the privilege of working.

Our guide to the red flags that show up in the first five minutes walks the same checks across the wider earning app category, and the Rs 200 per page typing job is the same machinery with a different label on it.

Kya captcha entry job legal hai in India?

Typing characters into a box is not itself an offence in India, and these services operate openly with public pricing pages. The uncomfortable bit is what the work is for. A captcha exists to stop automated access to a website, and a captcha solving service exists to get past it for customers running software against sites that tried to keep software out. Nobody is arresting a student for reading blurry letters, but this is not neutral data entry either.

What should you do if you have already paid a registration fee?

This part is written straight, with no jokes in it.

Stop paying. The second demand is part of the design, not a new problem that a final payment will close. A threatening letter from a fraudulent operation is not a legal notice, and answering it with money funds the next one. Report it at cybercrime.gov.in or on the 1930 helpline, and do it quickly, because the first hours are when a money trail can still be followed. Keep the WhatsApp thread, the payment reference, the agreement and the sender’s number. Do not send documents, PAN details or bank credentials to anyone chasing you over this.

Our step by step on filing a cybercrime complaint in India covers what the portal asks for, and whether money lost to an earning app ever comes back is the honest answer to the question everyone asks next. If you are weighing what to do with the hours instead, the realistic online income ladder starts several rungs above this one.

Frequently asked questions

Captcha earning app real hai ya fake?

Both exist and they are opposite things. The international captcha services such as 2Captcha are real and do pay, just very little: $0.14 to $0.6 per 1,000 normal captchas by their own published figures. The Indian captcha entry job companies that charge a registration fee are the fraud, and Indian police have arrested people running exactly that scheme.

Captcha solving se ek din mein kitna milta hai?

At 2Captcha’s published rates and a very optimistic 1,000 captchas an hour, an eight hour day comes to roughly Rs 104 at the bottom of the normal band, Rs 456 at the top, and Rs 760 in the best case of continuous reCAPTCHA v2 work. Anti-Captcha’s own page puts an average worker at about $100 a month, which is well below even that.

Do any captcha services pay directly to UPI or an Indian bank account?

Not from the payout list 2Captcha publishes. Its options are WebMoney, AirTM, Bitcoin Cash, USDT on TRC20 or BEP20, and TON. There is no UPI, NEFT or IMPS option, so getting the money into a rupee account means going through a wallet or a crypto exchange first, with the fees and tax that brings.

Kya captcha job ke liye registration fee dena chahiye?

No. No legitimate captcha service charges a worker to register, and none of the international ones do. A registration fee, security deposit or activation charge is the single most reliable sign that the offer is a fraud, and it is usually followed by a demand for more.

Is money earned from captcha work taxable in India?

Service income is ordinary income and is taxable at your slab rate whatever the amount. Where the payment arrives as crypto there is a second layer: the Income Tax Department taxes income from transferring a virtual digital asset at a flat 30 per cent plus surcharge and cess, with 1 per cent TDS under section 194S. The interaction between the two is worth asking a chartered accountant about rather than guessing.

Can a captcha company actually sue me over a fake legal notice?

A notice from a fraudulent operation carries no weight, and the operations sending them are not interested in a courtroom. Indian complaints and the Cyberabad case both describe the notices as a pressure tactic to extract further payments. Report it rather than answering it, and keep every message as evidence.
