The combined platform covers more than 150 countries and over 1,000 language locales. Of the four platforms genuinely open to Indians, it has the lowest barrier to entry.

That last point is why it belongs in your first two applications even though it rarely pays the best per hour. It matters more this month than most, because Amazon MTurk closes on 30 September and Clickworker is the nearest replacement queue.
What changed with the LXT merger
LXT announced the acquisition on 17 December 2024 and completed the technology integration on 31 July 2025. That release put the combined crowd at more than 7 million contributors across 150 or more countries. By July 2026 LXT was quoting more than 10 million, a figure best read as registered accounts rather than people logging in on a Tuesday.
For you as a worker the effect is mostly branding: accounts, task types and the weekly payment cycle carried over. A guide still calling Clickworker independent is out of date about the owner, not about the work.

Two things separate Clickworker from Outlier. Tasks are much smaller, often a few minutes each, and there is far less waiting to begin: you can be doing paid work the same week you apply.
Getting into UHRS
UHRS is Microsoft’s Universal Human Relevance System, reached through Clickworker, and where much of the more reliable work lives. Access is not automatic: there is an entry UHRS assessment to clear, and after that you qualify for individual task groups by passing short assessments, each opening more work.
Take every qualification test that appears, even for work you are unsure about. Qualifications accumulate and do not expire quickly, and an empty dashboard on a Tuesday is usually a qualification problem rather than a demand problem. If it stays empty for weeks, AI training hours and dry spells will tell you whether that is you or the market.
One rule needs reading twice, because breaking it is not recoverable. Clickworker states that working on UHRS through clickworker and another vendor at the same time can lead to permanent suspension of your UHRS access and of every vendor account connected to you. If you already hold a UHRS account through another vendor, deactivate or delete it before you take the clickworker assessment, not after.
Payment, which is the good part
Weekly, and through six routes rather than the two most guides mention: PayPal, Payoneer, eWallet, Airtm, ACH or SEPA bill runs. Weekly matters when you are starting, because it proves the thing is real, which counts for something on an internet full of platforms that pay nothing.
There is a threshold, and it quietly decides which route makes sense. Clickworker puts the minimum payable balance at 10 euros or dollars for PayPal, SEPA and ACH, and 20 for Payoneer and direct bank transfer, the band India sits in as a non EU country. You never request the payout: once you are over the line and your self employment details are in, you join the bill run automatically.
On the choice between PayPal and Payoneer, do not default to PayPal out of habit. PayPal India’s published schedule charges 4.40% plus a fixed fee to receive a cross border commercial payment, then 3% to 4% above the base exchange rate to convert it, which is roughly $74 to $84 on $1,000. Payoneer’s India pricing lands nearer 2% above the mid market rate on a withdrawal to an Indian bank, so about $20 to $30. One Payoneer detail catches micro task workers in particular: the account charges $29.95 a year if you receive less than $6,000 across any twelve consecutive months. On Clickworker money that is not a formality, so if this platform is your only foreign income, the cheaper percentage can quietly lose to the flat fee.

It suits you if you want to start this week rather than wait on assessments, if your free time comes in pockets rather than blocks, or if you want to prove to yourself that online earning is real before committing to a harder platform. On the realistic income ladder it is the first rung, not the destination.
It suits you less if you are chasing a high hourly rate. For that, get through Outlier’s assessments, or hold a TELUS Digital rater account alongside this one, which is steadier but slower to start. The only number that matters is what you earn per hour of actual work, and the task list is unhelpful about it by design. Most people find their real figure well below what it implied, which tells them which task types to abandon.

How to calculate your real hourly rate in one week
- Pick one task type and do only that for a measured session. Note the clock time you start and stop, honestly, including the time spent reading instructions.
- Record what actually landed in your account for that session, not what the task list advertised.
- Divide. That number is your real rate for that task type.
- Repeat for a second task type. Compare.
- Then only do the better one, and take every qualification test that might unlock something better still.
